The Highland Lakes Kiwanis Club has been setting up American flags in the Marble Falls area for over 30 years during patriotic holidays. With Memorial Day coming up May 26, the club’s Kathy van Eeten and Jim Hower shared the program’s history and why they do it.
The fifth annual Touch-A-Truck is April 26 in Kingsland. Kids can get an up-close look at around 50 big trucks and large equipment. The event benefits the Boys & Girls Club of the Highland Lakes.
