2026 Battle of the Cans

Kaitlyn Puckett, social worker for Marble Falls ISD, stopped by the studio to talk about the 2026 Battle of the Cans food drive competition brewing between the Marble Falls ISD and Burnet CISD campuses. The drive kicks off Friday, October 2, and running to October 14. The winning district claims the title for the year.

Donations collected during this year’s competition in Marble Falls ISD will be distributed between the Helping Center, St. Frederick’s Mission Outreach, and The Cupboard at Cottonwood Shores. Suggested items to donate include: canned meat, dried milk, canned vegetables, stuffing mix, non-perishable pantry staples. NO GLASS.

Marble Falls Elementary has been the top collector in the district for the past couple of years with others right on their heels. The community may donate items at any of the campuses — donated items will count toward that campus’s total. The winner will be announced during halftime of the Marble Falls vs Burnet football game on Friday, October 16.
