Ray Murphy has been been called upon by local, national, and international clients for his voice skills, creative writing, and recording facilities — Bank of America, American Airlines, Apple Computer, Ken Burns, and the Houston Texans, to name several.
Ray began his radio career in Corsicana, Texas, as an on-air talent and later became the station’s general manager. Subsequently, he worked on air in Beaumont, Killeen, and Dallas.
Still active in the world of audio/video production, Ray enjoys his weekends being on the air at KBEY 103.9 FM Radio Picayune.
“I like to think KBEY functions the way radio did back in its heyday, with close ties to the local community and talented on-air personalities like Ed Chandler, Barry Kaye, and the multi-talents of Ben Shields, who also, with his technical skills, keeps the station up and running smoothly 24/7. I have always loved being part of a great team and feel very fortunate and proud to be a member of this team: KBEY 103.9.”
