Moving to the Hill Country has been a “breath of fresh air” for Liz Nunn, KBEY 103.9 FM Radio Picayune’s newest personality.
“I’ve found God’s country,” she said.
Liz joins the Victory Media team after a whirlwind radio and entertainment career that’s showcased her talents all over the airwaves.
A native Southern Californian, her first gig was singing the national anthem at Dodgers Stadium when she was 8-years-old. Liz has been a performer ever since.
She began with a singing career, performing backup vocals, touring on cruise ships, and singing jingles for commercials. The jingles, Liz said, are how she broke into radio in Palm Springs. From there she was hired for Christian radio Air1 and K-Love networks. Those stations have multiple signals all over the country.
Liz has lived in Oregon, Washington, and spent nearly 10 years in Hawaii. Most recently she has been in Dallas where she successfully battled breast cancer.
“KBEY is the first morning show I’ve been on since I’ve been sick,” Liz says. “I was sick for eight years, but I’ve been in remission now for two-and-a-half years.”
Liz said she fell in love with the area before she ever visited. Now that she’s been here, she is excited for a new chapter in the Highland Lakes.
“It’s a dream come true,” she said.
KBEY listeners can catch Liz on the Wake Up Show weekdays from 6-10 AM with Ed Chandler, and on the No Repeat Workday from 10 AM-3 PM.
