Burnet County judge applicants talk to KBEY

Burnet County commissioners are choosing a new county judge from among three applicants: (from left) Alan Trevino, Gil Jones, and Bryan Wilson. The appointee will serve out the remainder of the current term through 2026. The elected position was left vacant with the resignation of James Oakley in December 2024. Commissioners will hold formal interviews of the applicants during their Feb. 11 meeting and possibly vote to appoint a new judge that day.
