A chapter on Kingsland and Lake LBJ history
July 24, 2018
Those interested in the history of Kingsland and Lake LBJ — or those who just like to hear awesome stories in general — need to head to the Lakeshore Branch Library in Buchanan Dam today from 6-7 p.m. to hear John Hallowell discuss his book, “Lake LBJ and the Rebirth of Kingsland: 1951-1970.” John stopped by the KBEY 103.9 FM Radio Picayune studio to give us a peek at the book that was written from interviews with “old-timers” and newspaper accounts and covers a different side of a legendary American president as well as the adventurous times of Kingsland. Call the library at (325) 379-1174 for more information.
