One man’s family research uncovers heroic WWII story

June 28, 2016

What an honor it was to visit with Pacific War researcher Dennis Blocker!

He has done a tireless job of learning about his grandfather’s role in World War II and the toll it took on him. Blocker traveled the United States and interviewed countless veterans, delving into academic research.

His work resulted in a collaboration with author Mitch Weiss and the release of the book “The Heart of Hell.” Together, they’ve discovered a riveting, previously untold story of war.

Dennis will share his research and his poignant story at 2 p.m. July 1 at the Herman Brown Free Library in Burnet. You do NOT want to miss this incredible event.
