Library forgiving fines, celebrating season

December 5, 2014

Deann Randle and Betsy Engelbrecht of the Herman Brown Free Library in Burnet sure did get us in the holiday spirit this morning!

The library has some exciting December events and a way for you to have your fines forgiven. From now until Dec. 12, you can bring a non-perishable food item by any Burnet County library and have overdue fines forgiven by 50 cents per item (up to $10.)

Also, the library’s open house is 3-5 p.m. Dec. 10 and will feature handmade goodies and cider lovingly prepared by the librarians and musicians and authors Mike Blakely and W.C. Jameson stopping by to serenade everyone and talk about their new books.

Make sure you “check out” what’s happening at your local library this month. Go to www.hermanbrownlibrary.org for more on the Herman Brown Free Library.
