‘Fizz! Boom! Read!’ with summer reading program
May 29, 2014
As always, it was wonderful visiting with the lovely Eileen Smith, the youth specialist for the Marble Falls Public Library, about the upcoming summer reading program.
Again, the theme for this year’s program is “Fizz! Boom! Read!”, and it is as action-packed as it sounds. The fun begins 4:30 p.m. June 5 with The Astonishing Mr. Pitts and his Puppet Pals, and the kids also will have the opportunity to solve a mystery. Every Thursday in June, children from pre-school age to young adult will enjoy fun science experiments, reptiles, great stories, crafts and more (including an opportunity to win prizes!)
Then, in July, the library will have super-fun camps, including “Vroom, Vroom, Vroom!”, “Science as Part of Your Day!”, “The Joy of Flying!” and “Sing and Sign!” Registration for each camp is required. For more about all the summer activities, call Eileen at (830) 693-3023 or click here to go to the library’s website.
