It’s livestock show-time in Burnet, Llano counties

A big thanks to Burnet County AgriLIFE Extension Agent Wade Hibler for joining Ed and Kay and getting us ready for the Burnet County 4-H & FFA Livestock Show on Jan. 9-11. He’ll be calling in from the show with updates starting Thursday. Read more at DailyTrib.com.

Here’s a quick rundown of some of the things going on at the Burnet County Fair Grounds, 1301 Houston Clinton Drive in Burnet:

Thursday, Jan. 9

Barn opens at 10 a.m.

Opening ceremony at 1:30 p.m.

Dairy goat show at 2 p.m.

Poultry show and showmanship at 3 p.m.

Boer goat show at 4 p.m.

Ag mechanics show at 4 p.m.

Market goat show at 6 p.m.

Weighing and sifting until 8 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 10

Rabbit show, showmanship at 8 a.m.

Breeding sheep show followed by market lamb at 8 a.m.

Market swine show, followed by breeding swine noon-5 p.m.

Steer show followed by heifer show at 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 11

Creative Meat & Bake Show at 8:15 a.m.

Buyers lunch at 11 a.m.

Opening ceremony and special awards presentation at 12:30 p.m.

Premium sale at 1 p.m.
