Help needed for those affected by Typhoon Haiyan
November 12, 2013
Typhoon Haiyan affected 9.5 million people across the Philippines and displaced at least 600,000 when it slammed into the country Nov. 8, according to the UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. Unofficial reports are that at least 10,000 have died.
Survivors are in desperate need of clean drinking water and food. Several organizations are making preparations to send relief to the area and could use help. If you would like to make a donation, visit any of these sites: Red Cross, UNICEF, Operation USA or Habitat for Humanity.
