KBEY Wakeup Show

President of Open Door Recovery Center Marian Blake will visit us this morning to talk about the upcoming benefit coming up this Sunday, 6-8 p.m., in Marble Falls. Llano’s Favorite Country Gospel Band will “Rock the Open Door” in a benefit concert at the amphitheater in Johnson Park. Cold drinks and refreshments will be available.

Donations will be gladly accepted for The Open Door Recovery House, a faith-based, residential alcohol and drug recovery house for women. Please feel free to invite your friends to support this worthy cause, which you can learn more about at: http://opendoorrecovery.net/

James “Slim” Hand will visit with us via the phone lines…he’s performing this Saturday night along with Eddie Shell and the Not Guilties at Cadillac Dance Hall where Ben Shields will be broadcasting live starting at 6:30 p.m. that evening.

Planning on seeing a movie over the weekend? We’ll let you know what’s showing and fill you in on the reviews.
We’ll also have our regular Friday Features. First, Meet the Mechanic at 8:50 a.m. answers all your transportation troubles, then it’s a half hour of The Trading Post starting at 9 a.m. Send in your items for sale and we’ll get the word out!
Thanks to our friends at Mr. Dirtbuster, we’ll award a new Facebook friend with a complete car detail, valued at $99! All you have to do to be in the running is to give our Facebook page a “like”!

Plus, we’ve got more Schlitterbahn tickets to give away, as well as Storm’s bucks for our KBEY Country Quiz winner along with Showbiz Cinema Movie passes for our Movie Line winner!
