Super thankful to RJ DeSilva from the Texas Comptroller’s office for filling us in on this weekend’s tax free holiday. It all starts Midnight Friday and continues until Midnight Sunday.
The law exempts from sales tax most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100. That’s a savings of about $8 on every $100 spent. The sales tax holiday includes items sold online, by telephone or mail. You can also use lay-away plans to take advantage of the tax exemptions, so it’s time to get started on that Back to School shopping (no matter what the kids say!).
